Terms and conditions

By signing up to MaestroMuse and activating a teacher subsciption you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1/ You will not share your own login details with any other person.

2/ You are solely responsible for the content you create and all materials uploaded or made available via links.

3/ You are responsible for ensuring that all content and materials uploaded by you and your pupils are appropriate and do not contain any inappropriate content or links.

4/ In the event that any inappropriate content is uploaded or links posted, your subscription will immediately be suspended and, where required, the breach of safeguarding reported to relevant safeguarding bodies.

5/ In the event of any parental request to provide access to materials supplied by you to the pupil and all associated content, you agree to provide this information. Where, for any reason, pupil access is no longer available you should contact MaestroMuse who can assist in providing this.

6/ On expiration of your subscription your data will be stored on our servers for a period of 6 months. If, after that period you do not resubscribe, your data will be permanently erased. Should you wish to retain access to any original content which you (the teacher) have created beyond this 6 month period you will need to contact us and an extention period can be agreed on payment of a one-off fee. Please note that due to GDPR regulations, we cannot extend the 6 month period to retention of data relating to any third parties whom you may have signed up.

7/ You agree to provide a copy of a signed parental consent form whenever you enrol each pupil under the age of 18. All adults enrolled as your pupils are required to agree to our terms a, as part of their enrollment process.

8/ You have read and understood the safeguarding policies detailed in the links below from the Musicians Union and the Incorpoated Society of Musicians.

9/ You agree to conduct all online communications within this software with due professional diligence.

Privacy Policy

MaestroMuse is a trading name of Arts Enterprise Limited, Company Number 06997126.

1/ What data MaestroMuse processes

MaestroMuse processes the following data:

* the email address provided on sign up by the princpal user (the teacher)

* the password chosen on sign up by the principal user (the teacher)

* the names (real or fictional) assigned to each user (the pupil) by the teacher

* the email addresses and passwords used in the sign up process of each individual user (pupil)

* all text materials, images, audio and video content, and links created by the teacher

* all text and any materials created or uploaded by the pupil

* all data contained within the parental letter of consent

2/ How MaestroMuse collects personal data

Data is collected via the sign up process and input of all data within each user's control

3/ Why MaestroMuse needs to process personal data

* in order to provide each user with secure access to the website and its functionality

* for the provision of ongoing subscription, renewal, amendment and cancellation purposes

* for the purpose of accountability in the event of of misuse of the site by an individual, or as the result of any actions for which we are required in law to provide evidential data

4/ Who has access to personal data and third parties

* the webmaster

* The directors of Arts Enetrprise Ltd

* Stripe payment

5/ How we keep personal data

MaestroMuse will retain personal data securely until the expiration of subscription the user (teacher). They will then be informed via their registered email of the period of time during which their data is retained and, following a non renewal of subscription within the next 6 months, this will be permanently deleted.

6/ When we disclose your information

We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in the circumstances below:

* where we are required by law to disclose your personal information

* to prevent fraud and prevent the further risk of fraud

7/ Keeping in touch

* MaestroMuse admin team can always be contacted via the email link provided

* Maestro Muse does not use email marketing to contact users

* Users will only be contacted by MaestroMuse in the event of subscription or renewal failures due to any payment processing issue which has been referred to us by Stripe

8/ Your rights under data protection law

* Access - to abtain access to, and copies of, the personal data we hold about you

* Rectofocation - to require us to correct the personal data in certain circumstances

* Erasure - to require us to erase your personal date in certain circumstances

Please note that the above rights are not absolute, and we may be entitled to refuse requests where exemptions or exceptions apply, such as those detailed in paragraph 6

9/ Pupil personal data and parental consent

The purpose of the letter of consent is to ensure that parents understand transparency of process as it relates to our own privacy policies, and whereby authority is given for the teacher to handle all teaching and learning materials relevant to the individual pupil it a suitably professional manner, including all protocols that relate to child safeguarding.

In the event that a parent wishes to have access to their child's online material content, this should take place firstly via their child's own login details. If this isn't available, then via their teacher. It is a requirement of our terms and conditions that teachers agree to share all data relevant to an indivual with his or her parents when requested to do so.

Safeguarding Requirements

It is your duty, as responsible adult for the care of any pupil under the age of age 18, to know about and adhere to all necessary aspects of safeguarding. Where possible you should consider obtaining enhanced DBS status. You should also familiarise yourself with the safeguarding protocols which are widely available online.

UK law will apply to all all transactions and handling of data on Maestromuse.com.

When you take out an online subscription, you agree to receive essential emails from Arts Enterprise Limited trading as MaestroMuse regarding your subscription, about any changes to our policies, prices or resources, and from our secure payment gateway, Stripe, in regard to any payment processesing matters. A link to Stripe's GDPR policy can be accessed here.

Due to our privacy protocols we are not able to view any data which is created within your your own subscribed domain on MaestroMuse. When you take out a subscription to use our digital learning platform you agree to responsibility for all content created and shared arising from your subscription and its use. Therefore it is essential that you are aware of the protocols required when dealing online with others, the need for you, as a teacher, to have in place and to state your own GDPR policies as well as robust protocols concerning how you handle and share data created by those under the age of 18. It is highly recommended that you familiarise yourself with essential safeguarding policies. The following indepedent links provide important information.

All digital transactions, footprints and data are available upon specific request from our webmaster in the event that we are required to provide such evidence for lawful purposes.

Payment for subscription to our digital learning service is collected monthly by recurring credit card payment. You are able to cancel this at anytime.
